•Stimulate and exfoliate your lips with a spare toothbrush. Gently rub the toothbrush over your lips in a circular motion.
•Steer clear of lip liner and use concealer around the mouth instead to get a perfect line.
•To avoid getting lipstick on the teeth, pucker lips and pull your index finger through making a “pop” sound. The lipstick that comes off on your finger is the stuff that would have landed on your teeth.
•Wear as little eye make up as you are comfortable with when wearing lipstick so that the lips are the statement and you don’t look overdone.
•Eyeshadow in particular is the nemesis of lipstick…avoid colored shadows and stick with neutrals if any.
•Dab a little of your lipstick on the apples of the cheeks as well and blend in for a very fresh, romantic glow.
•Instead of touching up your lipstick again and again throughout the day, you are better off removing all the lipstick and reapplying only a couple of times a day so that the lipstick doesn’t build up and ball up.
•EVERY woman can wear red lipstick! It is a myth that only some can. It depends on your comfort level and if you aren’t comfortable with a strong red then try a sheer. Lipstick Queen’s fabulous Saint Red is a good bet.
